Dual-Chip Strategy for Market Dominance

A core outcome of the discussions centered on leveraging Cotytech's proprietary PROFINET ASIC, the PN2254. Mr. Mauer explicitly stated the expectation that the PN2254 should "run abreast and complement" Siemens' classic ERTEC series , establishing a 'high-end and low-end' product pairing to achieve full-market coverage for PROFINET across China. Crucially, the VP stressed the necessity of positioning the PN2254-based PROFINET RT products to achieve cost parity with competing protocols such as EtherCAT.

Focus on Standards and Security

The two companies identified four key areas for technical cooperation aimed at upgrading PROFINET applications, including enhancing system-level competitiveness, simplifying client development, diversifying the product range tailored for the Chinese market, and accelerating product certification efficiency.

In recognition of growing global regulatory requirements, the partners engaged in a specific discussion on functional and information security solutions.
